The first public veneration in Philadelphia of the relics of Blessed Louis and Zelie Martin and of their daughter, St. Therese of Lisieux,

The public received their first chance to pray in the presence of the relics of the Martin family this evening at the chapel of the Convent of Divine Love, the home of the Sisters, Servants of the Holy Spirit of Perpetual Adoration (known locally as the "Pink Sisters" because of their rose-colored habits), at 22nd and Green Streets in the Fairmount section of Philadelphia.  When I lived in that section, I spent many hours there, praying in the consoling presence of the Sacrament, but never imagined that one day the relics of St. Therese and of Louis and Zelie would come to visit it.
